Standby Wizard Disaster-Recovery Tool for Oracle Released

Automates standby databases and continuity planning

Relational Database Consultants has released version 8.1 of the Standby Wizard for Oracle, now compatible with Oracle 11g databases. The Standby Wizard is a GUI-based intelligent disaster-recovery tool that automates the creation, maintenance and fail-over functions of Oracle's standby database paradigm.

The Standby Wizard now offers Oracle 11g users a way to build and maintain standby databases. It has a user-friendly GUI interface and runs transparently on Windows, Unix and Linux platforms.

The latest version of the Standby Wizard for Oracle can ping, recover, and activate any standby database needed in a disaster/recover scenario from a remote location - thus insuring continuity in case of a database failure.

Free fully-functional 21-day evaluations of the Standby Wizard are available for download at: http://www.relationalwizards.com/html/standby_database_download.html
