Ecora Software announced expanded enhancements to Ecora
Auditor Professional that further extend its automated collection and reporting
capabilities to include the newest generation of devices and operating systems
being installed in enterprise environments.
Ecora’s Auditor Pro includes support for Oracle Enterprise
Linux, the base operating system within the newly-released Oracle VM. Auditor
Pro automates the auditing and analysis of this environment, which is crucial
for future adoption of Oracle VM for production environments.
“By adding support for Oracle Enterprise Linux early in the
adoption process, Ecora is giving users confidence that they’ll be able to
maintain appropriate controls over these newly deployed systems,” said Bryan
Cote, Senior Product Manager, Ecora Software. “Additionally, support for these
open source platforms enables customers to implement Auditor Pro on a broader
scale within their business infrastructure.”
In addition, Auditor Pro’s capabilities now extend to the
discovery, collection, analysis and reporting on the thousands of configuration
attributes associated with the operation of platforms based on CentOS, the
Community Enterprise Operating System, and SUSE for IBM System/390, the
mainframe operating system used heavily by financial services organizations.
