Oracle has announced availability of the Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite. The Suite is a component of Oracle Identity Management and helps simplify and improve security by providing single sign-on, access control and password management for virtually any application including Oracle's Web and non Web-based software such as Oracle Database, Oracle Forms, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise and Oracle's Siebel applications, as well as non-Oracle applications. Financial services, healthcare, government, telecommunications and organizations across all industries with extensive legacy applications and compliance requirements are positioned to benefit from Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite's ability to provide single sign-on for mainframe, client/server and Web-based applications. With the Suite, organizations can provide secure access to their enterprise resources without burdening users with remembering and maintaining separate passwords and authentication credentials for each system and application. This helps customers strengthen security, improve the user experience and lower costs by decreasing the risks and resources associated with multiple application passwords.
"Over the past year, customers, partners and industry analysts have lauded Oracle for its commitment to delivering a comprehensive family of best-in-class identity and access management software that can be used across heterogeneous IT environments," said Hasan Rizvi, vice president, Security and Identity Management Products, Oracle. "The availability of Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite underscores this commitment and further enables customers to improve security throughout their entire organizations and to more easily meet compliance mandates while reducing costs."
Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite is comprised of five components that improve authentication capabilities, decrease security costs and deliver efficient access and self-service capabilities, including:
